Developing people in the local church for ministry.
Basic Training is a three year program designed to prepare people in the local church for ministry. Each student who completes the Basic Training program receives a Certificate of Church Leadership Studies. The program consists of three elements:
Life of Christ Course
The program consists of 6 courses on The Life of Christ. In addition, students also discover Bible study methods, biblical history and geography, basic Christian doctrine, and principles of Christian living and skills in ministry.
Ministry Projects
Active participation in ministry is an essential part of the Basic Training program. The real purpose for all theological education is not increased knowledge, but obedience to the Word of God and to Jesus Christ who stands behind His word. New students are given ministry assignments to complete and discuss during class. By the second course, students will set ministry goals according to their interests and giftings that they will develop throughout the course.
Class Discussion
The course content and ministry experience are brought together in the weekly class discussion, where the focus is on applying the course instruction to ministry and seeking answers to questions and problems related to local church ministry.
